Heavy Rib Long Sleeves sweater

Oversized long sleeve sweater in structured Japanese rib jersey with dropped shoulders and a generous, boxy shape. The fabric is produced on ancestral knitting machines that are over 50 years old, using a traditional technique no longer replicated by modern industrial production. The rougher and harder cam structure of these vintage machines creates a stronger kickback and a more classical texture, giving the rib its distinctive density, tension, and character. Because the yarn is more difficult to condition on these machines, the fabric can only be knitted slowly by highly skilled craftsmen relying on experience and touch.
